Competition Details:

Are you skilled at fixing code errors? Can you easily identify and remove ambiguities from code? Are you confident in showcasing your debugging abilities alongside your coding skills? If you believe in yourself, now is the time to seize this opportunity! Join us in a thrilling speed debugging competition that will kick-start your debugging journey.
In this competition, teams will be given a piece of code containing logical or syntactical errors, and participants will have a limited time to find and fix the bugs. The team that corrects the highest number of errors will be declared the winner.

Competition Format:

There will be two rounds in the Speed Debugging Competition:

Round 1:

Participants will receive 30 objective questions of varying difficulty to solve within the given time. These questions will be categorized as Easy, Moderate, or Challenging. Each correct answer in the Easy category will earn 1 point, while each correct answer in the Moderate category will earn 2 points, and each correct answer in the Challenging category will earn 3 points. For every 4 wrong answers, 1 point will be deducted. The top-performing teams will progress to the second round.

Round 2:

In this round, participants will be given 20 questions. Each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 1 point, while each correct answer will earn 3 points. The team with the highest total points will be declared the winner.

Rules:

1.  Each team can have a maximum of three members.
2. The competition consists of two rounds, and only qualified teams will proceed to the next round.
3. Expert judges will evaluate the problem solutions and determine the results.
4. The decision of the judges will be final.
5. Participants must be seated at least 15 minutes before the start of the competition to resolve any
issues. No extra time will be provided.
6. Team members can quietly discuss the problems they are assigned, without disturbing other teams.
7. In case of equal points, priority will be given to the team that submitted their answers first.
8. Internet usage is not allowed.

9. Participants are not allowed to bring notebooks or writing pads to the contest room. Each team will be provided with blank sheets of paper and pens.
10. The use of unfair means is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.
11. Failure to comply with any of the rules and regulations may result in point deductions or disqualification.

12. The decisions made by the authority cannot be contested by the participants.

Winning Criteria:

  1. For each correct question, 5 points will be awarded.
  2. The team with the highest score at the end will be declared the winner.
  3. In the event of a tie, the team that submitted their answers earlier will be declared the winner.

Rough sheets, pencils, and pens will be provided.
